So, simply, this whole thing is just a matter of clearly stated principles. Sure I don’t like to take of my hat or trenchcoat for school, but at a for sure school function that I pay to attend…

You pay to attend school. Besides, what the hell’s the difference in a girl wanting to go to prom with a girl? So what? I see that as less obtrusive than your consistent belligerence against the school administration who, by the way, are upholding a safety ordinance.

I *have* to go to school because it is the *law* if I, or my parents, did not pay for me to attend the government would find some other way to get me here. Prom is an event that you are NOT required to attend by LAW. There’s a big difference in agency there. Whereas you can make the choice to stay home from prom or GO and FOLLOW THE RULES lest you be kicked out.

Do you know why I keep breaking the rules? The administration here only hands out polite warnings, constantly, and doesn’t take action. At least those nutjobs in Mississippi stick to their principles.

The day I see real action taken by the administration is the day I stop “breaking” the rules. The point is they do not have to sell the girl a ticket if she’s not going to adhere to the social contract in place.

HOWEVER, I STILL RETAIN THAT: They shouldn’t have canceled the event. It really was an asinine decision.

I STILL RETAIN THAT: The rule is kinda restricting, and if they wanted to make any money from the thing they’d let people take whoever they wanted.

If you’re only going to spend your life criticizing and finding fault with the world around you, becoming more and more disappointed with each passing day, you’ll find that you’ve wasted your life. Philosophy and all that “oh we need to be more equal and better and treat people right” mentality will not work unless you’re going to actually do something about it. All you do is try to argue the other side because it’s more fun, because it’s neglected, because you think it would be a nice experiment to see how other people think. THAT’S TOTAL BULL. You need to find out how YOU think and live your life true to it.What other people think only matters the slightest bit, enough that you can find out where you are similar, where you are different, and how you can cooperate.I’m sick of you trying to argue the other side against me with all of your existential crap, with those rhetorical “But answer me this”-es, with your “who defines”-es and “what gives anyone the right to”-s. If you’re going to argue a point actually SUPPORT YOUR SIDE. When you ask questions or defend by faultfinding all you do is leave yourself open to be shut down and forced to suck on your thoughts. THERE MUST BE SUBSTANCE TO YOUR SPEECH. Ever notice how I have an answer for everything? Ever notice how I just don’t care what’s thrown at me because I have more support? Ever notice how when I don’t have an answer I admit (at least partially) my defeat and concede the point? That’s because I understand proper communication and I know that the world isn’t about rhetorical questions, it’s about straight answers.

Don’t you ever try to tell me my hats and coats are belligerent again. Once you start to learn about values and understand them better you’ll be able to get why I do the things I do. It all comes down to principles and you have to know what yours are before you mess with someone else’s.
